Kenny specialises in criminal law, administrative/public law and mental health.

Kenny has extensive experience in appearing as an advocate in criminal law matters. Prior to being called to the Bar, Kenny worked at the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions and regularly appeared in District Court sentences, District Court appeals, Supreme Court bail applications, Local Court summary hearings and Local Court sentences.

Between 2013 and 2018, Kenny was a solicitor at the Crown Solicitor’s Office, where he gained unique experience prosecuting regulatory crimes. Kenny also has specialised experience in conducting litigation on behalf of the State of NSW for applications under the Crimes (High Risk Offenders) Act 2006.

Prior to admission, Kenny worked as tipstaff to the Hon Justice Richard Button in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
