Mark was admitted as a solicitor in 1975,appearing for defendants in serious criminal matters as Solicitor in Charge of the Hurstville and Parramatta offices of the Public Solicitors Office.

He set up his own practice in 1979 and operated from Sutherland, appearing in criminal, family law  and negligence matters.

Mark went to the Bar in 1988 and appeared for accused in criminal trials, as counsel assisting in coronial inquests and acting for the defendant in motor vehicle third party claims. He also appeared in the Supreme Court in Administrative Law matters and in Murder trials.

In 2002 Mark was appointed as a Crown Prosecutor and appeared in trials in the District Court , Supreme Court, in numerous Murder trials and in the Court of Criminal Appeal.

Mark also appeared in the Vanuatu Supreme Court to successfully prosecute 28 police who were charged with Mutiny and Kidnapping.

 In 2006 Mark was appointed as a  Senior Crown Prosecutor in the Solomon Islands where he prosecuted militants for murder and war crimes.  

Mark was appointed as a Deputy Senior Crown Prosecutor in 2006 and in 2007 was appointed as Senior Counsel.

He has appeared in Murder trials, and the Court of Criminal Appeal regularly since.  Mark brings enormous experience as Senior Counsel to the Bar.
