Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws with Honours (Macquarie University – 2013)

Ella graduated from Macquarie University in 2013 with Honours and was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2014. Following admission, Ella worked in insurance litigation, with a focus on personal injury and property damage, commercial litigation, focussing on debt recovery, and most recently in a general practice.

Ella was called to the Bar in 2020 and has developed a broad practice, appearing unled in State and Federal courts and tribunals, particularly in the following areas:

  • Criminal Law
  • Family Law
  • Insurance
  • Employment Law
  • Civil Litigation

Ella has appeared in Local Court criminal cases defending charges relating to assault, domestic violence, drug supply, and driving offences. Ella has also appeared for client’s at sentence in the Local and District Courts across NSW. 

In her civil practice, Ella has appeared for applicants and defendants in the Personal Injury Commission and the Fair Work Commission. Ella also assists clients through all stages of civil litigation, and has extensive experience in drafting pleadings, appearing at alternative dispute resolution processes, and appearing at final hearing.

Ella has also appeared extensively in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia for parties and the Independent Children’s Lawyer in family law proceedings, at both interim and final hearings. Ella accepts private and legal aid briefs.
