Prior to coming to the Bar, George was a criminal solicitor in the Dubbo office of Legal Aid for several years. As a solicitor, he had substantial experience appearing as advocate including in jury and judge alone trials. George also instructed in significant matters including the jurisdictional error appeals of Stanley v DPP [2023] HCA 3 and Stanley v DPP [2021] NSWCA 337.
