Extensive experience as an advocate criminal trials and appeals in Australia.


Appearance for families in numerous coronial inquests. Appearance for Aboriginal families and the Committee to Defend Black Rights before the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody.


Senior Public Defender and then Legal Adviser, Public Solicitor’s Office, Solomon Islands (4 years). Advised and appeared in tension related criminal trials in the High Court and appeared in cases before the Court of Appeal. Engaged in capacity development and authored Evidence Law and Advocacy in the Solomon Islands.


Post graduate research into coronial law and practice, anti-terrorism laws, human rights and fundamental legal rights.
