Marnie has extensive experience in criminal law, having regularly appeared in the Children’s Court, Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court in hearings, bail applications, mental health diversions, EAGP matters, sentences and appeals.  Marnie commenced as a solicitor in a regional office of the ODPP in 2018.  From 2020 Marnie was a Senior Solicitor, and from 2023 held a role as Senior Solicitor within the Specialised Prosecutions team.

Immediately prior to coming to the Bar, Marnie was a Senior Solicitor in the Inquiries and Criminal Law Division of the Crown Solicitor’s Office.  Marnie assisted the NSW State Coroner and Deputy State Coroners in a number of complex coronial inquests.  

Prior to commencing as a solicitor, Marnie was an Associate at the District Court of New South Wales.

Marnie accepts briefs in a range of practice areas, in metropolitan and regional courts.  Marnie is appointed to a number of Legal Aid panels.
