Background
Michael has appeared in several significant cases in his 20 plus years as a Barrister and recently appeared in the landmark decision of the High Court of Australia in Abdel-Hady v Commonwealth of Australia (2026) HCA 17 which opened the gateway for hundreds of immigration detainees (NZYQ cohort) to receive tens of millions of dollars in compensation.
