Sophie accepts brief in all areas of law, with a particular focus on criminal law, family law, coronial inquests and inquiries, and medical negligence.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Sophie spent two and a half years as an Associate to the Hon. Justice Huggett, Chief Judge of the District Court of New South Wales. During that time, she sat in both District and Supreme Court matters including trials, sentences, pre-record hearings, appeals and the Walama List.

She then worked as a solicitor at the Prisoners Legal Service at Legal Aid where she regularly appeared before the State Parole Authority. She subsequently held a position as a solicitor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions where she appeared in the Local and District Courts on bail and appeal matters, and instructed in trials, particularly in the Child Sexual Offence Evidence Program.

Sophie accepts briefs to appear in both metropolitan and regional courts.
